For the last two weeks, I’ve been reading about Circuit City going out of business. And how you could get GREAT close out deals in the stores. It has been about two weeks since the announcement, and I haven’t seen anything to prove that they are closing the doors. I think most of this Close out deals are a big hype, just to get butts in the stores.
In today’s (1-25-09) Sunday Ciriut City ad campaign it looks like the store chain is doing just fine, no mantion of a close out or going out of business sale. There aren’t many deals in the ad, most are the same BLA sales that most other big box stores are advertising.
Two things that did catch my eye is the promoting of the “36 month – No Interest on TVs $999 and up” and a “Storewide 18 month - No Interest on $999 and up”.
Even though the Loans/Credit Card are though Chase Bank, Circuit City still gets its cut of the deal. This makes me think, is Circuit City really going out of business or is this just hype?
